I have had a love affair with the Guitar for 55 years. I have had untold hours of
pleasure from the instrument. Part of it's attraction has been the 500 year long history
starting with the ancient four string vihuela played by such masters as Gaspar Sanz and Luys
Milan. The Music of the old Masters always amazes me. But the biggest rewards have always come
from sharing my music with friends.
I recall times when I was practicing in the wee hours of the morning and things were
going well. I wanted to run out into the street and grab someone and say, "Hey, you gotta
hear this! Come inside." I believe it is those years of experience which makes possible the
quality of the MIDI I create. I know how it should sound! Clearly my love of the Guitar is
revealed in the over 4,700 MIDI I have created over am almost five year period. And I worked
full time for two of those years.
Today my old fingers are unable to work like they once did. I am extremely grateful
for the technology that makes MIDI sequencing possible. I can still share the love of my life
with my friends.
Yes, I sell some of my music now and then, but if I live to be 200, I will never
realize a profit from that. I have never really figured out the cost of producing this music,
but it is certain to be a lot of money. Over the years I have invested thousands of dollars in
sheet music. Then there is the cost of maintaining this web-site, which is not cheap. Even from
the sales I make the online bank keeps part of the money. I have no regrets about that.
People all over the world are enjoying my work and that is enough reward for me.
